Pick 14. Seattle Seahawks- Derrick Morgan DE Georgia Tech - Believe it or not the first defensive end taken. Seattle only had 28 Sacks last season and rarely put pressure on the opposing quarterback, Morgan will allow for that to change.

Pick 11 in the 2010 draft the Denver Broncos select- Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma State, without Brandon Marshal, sheffler, or any other offensive help at reciever he is needed. Bryant is a great combination of size and strength, Kyle Orton is doing backflips thinking about the possibilities!! Did i just say Kyle Orton.

Sean weatherspoon was a beast at the combine and displayed the makings of an outspoken team defensive leader, this could be good or bad(ochocinco or ray lewis hmmmmm)

1. St. Louis Rams-  Gerald McCoy DT Oklahoma, Though there are some questions on whether or not he is the better pick over SUH, they are essentially 1a and 1b, Rams Coach has ties to Mccoy making him the sexier pick. Another option is bradford but concerns with his constant injury problems and leadership.

2. Detroit Lions- Ndamukong Suh DT Nebraska , With many needs the lions cannot pass up the opportunity to take SUH, his nack for getting to the quarterback and disrupting the backfield is just what the Lions lacked last season in alot of close games.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Eric Berry FS Tennessee ,With a number of needs and the top two defensive lineman off the board, the Bucs lack the ability to stop big plays evident in the game in london last year against the Patriots, Berry gives them an instant playmaker to improve the  secondary.

4. Washington Redskins- Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma , with Shanahan coming into a new gig, it is essential he has the right guy running the show. Is the right guy Jason Campbell? He will have one year to prove it. The Redskins go with the top raed qb in this years draft though not in my eyes. many.

5. Kansas City Chiefs - Russell Okung OT Oklahoma State, Spending so much on quarterback Matt Cassel who seemed to be on his back more than his feet last season it is going to be essential that he gets protecton it starts with the beast from Ok. State.

6. Seattle Seahawks- Jimmy Clausen QB Notre Dame , Surprised? Don't be Clausen in many people eyes is the best QB in this years Draft, Pete Carrol at the helm he knows it starts with the QB. Matt Hasselbeck has had injury after injury and can'tseem to put it all together.

7. Cleveland Browns- Joe Haden CB Florida, With a quarterback situation still looming they will finall get it figured out that they actually need a defense too.

8. Oakland Raiders - Bruce Campbell OT Maryland, With a strong combine campbell has been moving up draft boards quickly. Quick enough for Al Davis to step away from his center stage act as tales from th crypt keeper and grab with guy. He also loves every other guy who ran a 4.4 or better. There is also a possibility that Al goes receiver again being that Darrius Hey-ward bey was a bust, dont be at all surprised if he goes DeZ Bryant.

9. Buffalo Bills- Anthony Davis OT Rutgers, With two offensive tackles already taken Buffalo will not take the chance of a mediocre one slipping to late rounds, They get Davis here to sure up a horrible offensive line and allow protection to Trent Edwards.

10. Jacksonville jaguars-(Trade pick to the New England Patriots)- C.J. Spiller RB Clemson, Patriots finally make a move up in the draft rather than taking a step back. With the aging and injury prone back field of Fred Taylor and Sammy Morris both whom will be gone, an under-producing and under achieve-ing Laurence Maroney and Kevin Faulks free agent status, Spiller is just what the Patriots need an explosive back that can break one at anytime and dynamic kick returner. They steal the best overall player in this years draft.

11. Denver Broncos- Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma State, With or without Brandon Marshal gone I believe this is the pick imagine the compliment these two would give one another. Bryant is a great combination of size and strength, Kyle Orton is doing backflips thinking about the possibilities!! Did i just say Kyle Orton.

12. Miami Dolphins- Rolando McClain ILB Alabama, Much needed linebacker help, could help with possible pass rush and run stoppage and contain many Tight Ends. Goes well with the recent departure of Joey Porter and Probably Jason Taylor.

13. SanFransisco 49ers- Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa , Not a sexy pick, but with most of the time spent on defensive improvements the last couple seasons and the drafting of Michael Crabtree last year, Its time to bolster the offensive line and protect alex smith so he can get him the ball.

14. Seattle Seahawks- Derrick Morgan DE Georgia Tech - Believe it or not the first defensive end taken. Seattle only had 28 Sacks last season and rarely put pressure on the opposing quarterback, Morgan will allow for that to change.

To be cont....

General Discussion / 2010 NFL COMbine most to prove???
« on: February 27, 2010, 10:05:06 am »
There are many players that have alot to prove in the 2010 NFL scouting combine here a a couple of players some of which are under the radar who could improve their draft stock.

1. Stephon Johnson-RB(USC)- A tough back that can take a hit, but has alot to prove since missing most of the 2010 season after dropping a bench bar on his throat, a strong combine could boost his stocks among running back.

2. Quarterbacks as a whole- To my knowledge the only big name quarterback that has decided to throw is Tony Pike-QB(CIN) 15-3 as a starter huge arm, versatile, he could drastically improve his stock with a strong combine due to the injuries of the other quarterbacks an their decisions not to throw.

3. George Selvie- DE (USF) Had he come out last year he would have been without a doubt a top ten pick in the 2009 NFL draft. His 2010 season was anything but memorable, dealing with injuries and the emergence of Jason-Pierre Paul, Selvie has fell under the Radar. I believe a great combine could shoot him up into the late first round early second, someone will get a steal.

4. Patrick Robinson-CB(FS)- Coming off a great show in 2008-09 with 6 interceptions, he followed it up with only 1 this past season. Is he big play ability gone? Is it because their just not throwing to his side? These are questionsd he is going to have to answer to coaches at the combine and a strong play will solitify his first round potential.

5. Golden Tate-(WR)-ND - Lots of criticisms on his size 5'11, will this hurt his draft position is he first round ability or second round. Personally I think he should have been in the top 3 in heisman voting last season with a killer statistical year. An Anquan Boldin Esc.. Body and a heart of a lion a strong combine would continue his rise up the boards and quiet critics, the best reciever in the draft in my opinion, including Dez Bryant.
