Mock Drafts / Re: Joe's Mock Draft

Yeah, he might actually go earlier, but I doubt it. Unless, of course, someone is really intrigued by him and have a need at that position. I really do hope Dallas picks up an OT or DB in the first. I doubt any top end WR's are going to be available considering that there are only 2-3 projected possible first rounders.

I'll probably post an updated version once we are closer to the draft and free agency is mostly over.

Sean weatherspoon was a beast at the combine and displayed the makings of an outspoken team defensive leader, this could be good or bad(ochocinco or ray lewis hmmmmm)

Mock Drafts / Craig's Mock Draft 2010

1. St. Louis Rams-  Gerald McCoy DT Oklahoma, Though there are some questions on whether or not he is the better pick over SUH, they are essentially 1a and 1b, Rams Coach has ties to Mccoy making him the sexier pick. Another option is bradford but concerns with his constant injury problems and leadership.

2. Detroit Lions- Ndamukong Suh DT Nebraska , With many needs the lions cannot pass up the opportunity to take SUH, his nack for getting to the quarterback and disrupting the backfield is just what the Lions lacked last season in alot of close games.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Eric Berry FS Tennessee ,With a number of needs and the top two defensive lineman off the board, the Bucs lack the ability to stop big plays evident in the game in london last year against the Patriots, Berry gives them an instant playmaker to improve the  secondary.

4. Washington Redskins- Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma , with Shanahan coming into a new gig, it is essential he has the right guy running the show. Is the right guy Jason Campbell? He will have one year to prove it. The Redskins go with the top raed qb in this years draft though not in my eyes. many.

5. Kansas City Chiefs - Russell Okung OT Oklahoma State, Spending so much on quarterback Matt Cassel who seemed to be on his back more than his feet last season it is going to be essential that he gets protecton it starts with the beast from Ok. State.

6. Seattle Seahawks- Jimmy Clausen QB Notre Dame , Surprised? Don't be Clausen in many people eyes is the best QB in this years Draft, Pete Carrol at the helm he knows it starts with the QB. Matt Hasselbeck has had injury after injury and can'tseem to put it all together.

7. Cleveland Browns- Joe Haden CB Florida, With a quarterback situation still looming they will finall get it figured out that they actually need a defense too.

8. Oakland Raiders - Bruce Campbell OT Maryland, With a strong combine campbell has been moving up draft boards quickly. Quick enough for Al Davis to step away from his center stage act as tales from th crypt keeper and grab with guy. He also loves every other guy who ran a 4.4 or better. There is also a possibility that Al goes receiver again being that Darrius Hey-ward bey was a bust, dont be at all surprised if he goes DeZ Bryant.

9. Buffalo Bills- Anthony Davis OT Rutgers, With two offensive tackles already taken Buffalo will not take the chance of a mediocre one slipping to late rounds, They get Davis here to sure up a horrible offensive line and allow protection to Trent Edwards.

10. Jacksonville jaguars-(Trade pick to the New England Patriots)- C.J. Spiller RB Clemson, Patriots finally make a move up in the draft rather than taking a step back. With the aging and injury prone back field of Fred Taylor and Sammy Morris both whom will be gone, an under-producing and under achieve-ing Laurence Maroney and Kevin Faulks free agent status, Spiller is just what the Patriots need an explosive back that can break one at anytime and dynamic kick returner. They steal the best overall player in this years draft.

11. Denver Broncos- Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma State, With or without Brandon Marshal gone I believe this is the pick imagine the compliment these two would give one another. Bryant is a great combination of size and strength, Kyle Orton is doing backflips thinking about the possibilities!! Did i just say Kyle Orton.

12. Miami Dolphins- Rolando McClain ILB Alabama, Much needed linebacker help, could help with possible pass rush and run stoppage and contain many Tight Ends. Goes well with the recent departure of Joey Porter and Probably Jason Taylor.

13. SanFransisco 49ers- Bryan Bulaga OT Iowa , Not a sexy pick, but with most of the time spent on defensive improvements the last couple seasons and the drafting of Michael Crabtree last year, Its time to bolster the offensive line and protect alex smith so he can get him the ball.

14. Seattle Seahawks- Derrick Morgan DE Georgia Tech - Believe it or not the first defensive end taken. Seattle only had 28 Sacks last season and rarely put pressure on the opposing quarterback, Morgan will allow for that to change.

To be cont....

I haven't read your entire mock draft. But do you think Dez Bryant will go ahead of Golden Tate? I heard Bryant tore it up at the Combine but I don't know if that'll happen. Size wise, sure though. But Marshall to Miami? You delusional.

I can definitely see the Chargers trading up for CJ Spiller though.

1. St Louis Rams: Sam Bradford, QB, Oaklahoma (Most people think one of the top DT will be the pick here but I disagree. I think if there is a sure fire QB prospect and you have the number one pick you take it no questions asked. Bulger is done in St. Louis and they need a face to there franchise and a DT just is not that)

2. Detroit Lions: Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma (The lions offensive line ranked 32nd in the league last year which is last in the entire league. Although most would think Suh they have to protect there young QB in Stafford so Okung is the pick)

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska, (Tampa Bay is doing backflips and taking celebratory shots right now b/c they just recieved the best player in the draft)

4. Washington Redskins: Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame, (New coach Mike Shanahan wants his QB and that guy's name is not Jason Cambell)

5. Kansas City: Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers, (Like Detroit the Chiefs offensive line ranked near the bottom in every category. After investing a ton of money in Matt Cassel they need to have him protected)

6. Seattle Seahawks: Joe Haden, CB, Florida (Seattle takes the top rated CB with this pick in the draft)

7.  Cleveland Browns: Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma, (there is a new sheriff in town and he knows when you build teams you start with the trenches. McCoy is the fastest pick made so far)

8. Oakland Raiders Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa, (Oakland is another team that needs to fix there offensive line problems Bulaga is the best on the board)

9. Buffalo Bills: Trent Williams, OT, Oaklahoma, (With the run on Offensive Takles the Bills have no choice but to reach a little bit and take the next best tackle on the board. With the suprise retirement of Brad Buttler the obvious choice here is Williams)

10. Jacksonville Jaguars: Derrick Morgan, DE/OLB, Georgia (Jaguars need for a better pass rush leads them to take Morgan who they have rated ahead of guys like Pierre Paul and Sergio Kindle)

11. Denver Broncos: Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma (After trading Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins for a 2nd and 5th the need at wideout has them take Bryant here)

12. Miami Dolphins: Eric Berry, S, Tennesee (The best FS prospect to come out in years unexpectedly falls out of the top ten due to the run on offensive tackles but his slide stops at pick 12 where the need for free safetly help has the Miami Dolphins thrilled with this pick)

13. San Fransisco 49ers: Trade pick to Chargers: C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson (with LT being released and Darren Sprolles not likely back with the team next year they trade up and take the  best runningback in the draft)
